On the Beijing Xinhua Bookstores Chinese fiction rankings, the title was second only to Han Han’s 1988: I Want to Talk With the World. Major media outlets including China Youth Daily, The Beijing News, Modern Express, and Vista published reports on the Three Body III event and interviews with author Liu Cixin.
