The most comprehensive article is an overview (written in 1997) by Evgeniy Kharitonov, poet, translator, critic, and contributor to a journal on SF&F “Esli” (“If”). The following are notes on a section of this article, covering Chinese SF&F. The Russian term фантастика (fantastika), is rendered here as “science fiction and fantasy” (SF&F).
