Fei Dao

Fei Dao, whose real name is Liyuan Jia, received his M.A. degree from Beijing Normal University. His major research direction is science fiction literature. Besides, as a young writer, he has published in Science Fiction World and other magazines dozens of science fiction and fantasy works. "The Longest Way to Death" is his best piece. His short story "A Doomsday Story" has been translated into Italian.

飞氘,原名贾立元,青年科幻作家。北京师范大学文学院研究生,研究方向为科幻文学 ,目前已发表数十万字的科幻、奇幻文学作品,代表作为《去死的漫漫旅途》,短篇科幻小说《一个末世的故事》被翻译成意大利文,收入世界科幻奇幻年选集《ALIA》。此外,他根据自己同名小说改编的科幻电影剧本《去死的漫漫旅途》,还荣获国家广电总局“第二届扶持青年优秀电影剧作计划”支持。

By studying the representative images of China in Chinese Science Fiction since 1990s, this thesis interprets the contemporary cultural appeal and explores the multifunction of SF in nation-state construction, specifically , its vital role in China’s modernization drive. It hopes to create a new field in SF interpretation.
