a Professor, and Head of Collection Development McIntyre Library and also teaches in Women’s Studies and English at U of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at U of Wisconsin-Madison for Anglo-American, French and Chinese Literature. She reviews books for 10 or so publications including the SFRA Review, FemSpec, Collection Building, JFA, and Medieval Feminist Forum, among others. Her reference book articles have appeared in titles including Oxford Encyclopedia of Children’s Literature, Brill Encyclopedia of Pilgrimage and Women in Science Fiction and Fantasy. She has edited amateur journals, social services documents, and an issue of Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Her passion for China and Medieval Europe both started at an early age, but her first love, fantastic fictions and has persisted from mid-20th into the 21st century.

威斯康星大学欧克莱尔分校教授，麦金太尔图书馆馆藏发展主任，讲授女性研究和英文。于威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校比较文学系获英美、法国和中国文学博士学位。为《科幻研究协会评论》、《女性推想》、《馆藏建设》、《幻想艺术》、《中世纪女性主义论坛》等约十种出版物撰写书评。曾为《牛津儿童文学百科全书》、《布里尔朝圣百科全书》、《科幻和奇幻中的女性》等参考书撰稿。此外，还编有多种业余刊物、社会服务文献及一期《狮王、女巫和魔衣橱》。年幼时即对中国和中古欧洲有浓厚兴趣，但以幻想小说为最爱，从上世纪中叶至今，痴心不改。
